Easter snow!

Well,I was looking at previous posts today(Which I almost never do)and realized the last time I posted was November of last year! Can you believe it??Without even realizing it,I've already become accustomed to 2022.Its been a good year so far.No tragedies,no deaths, and NO MASKS.Im really grateful(although it may be April now)for a non tragic year thus far.God is Good.Right now, even as I'm typing this,it's snowing.Yes,it snows in April.Im counting on an Easter snowball fight!!I also heard that the only time it doesn't snow in Minnesota....is August! So,if you do have any relatives come up here,be sure to warn then before hand that it may snow anytime!!

My days are filled with work and some of the arts(guitar, painting, writing, ect.)I've been working on.Ill post a few pics down below.I heard a quote the other day.It said~"An appreciation of the arts is what lifts us above mere animals,it stirs the passion and moves the spirits."I love that quote ❤️. I've more time on my hands now with hockey season now being over and all.

The rest of the family is farring well.Faith, per usual, fills her time with reading and writing pinterest quotes in her journals.Shes pretty big on journaling. You should ask her a quote sometime. She has tons!!

Tim,with his newly acquired job at DigiKey,caravans almost everyday with Bekah and Dad to work.Ive yet to speak with him how it's going(we work opposite shifts and almost never see eachother)but I'll let you know how it's going when I do.

Bekah, ecstatic still from the new lambs in her barn,is busy mucking out and spending time cuddling the [barn]lambs.

Mom,on the other hand, has alot of embers burning in the fire.Between quilting,3 lambs in the house, running the house, and 2 troubling dogs(turned 1 year old not too long ago)she's got her hands full. But she loves a day out of the house. She feels refreshed and energized upon returning from a trip to town.

Dave,I don't hear alot from, but he's been working at the gym alot.Hes been working really hard between raising a red Labrador puppy, working 5,sometimes 6,days a week, and going to the gym everyday. He loves working out at the gym. He's been able to bench 300+ pounds so far!!

Dad loves working.Everytime I see him he always seem to be doing something and keeping busy.Latest project? He's just fixed the van(which had problems)although it has yet to have an alignment. So we cannot drive it justtttttt yetttt.

Unbeaten by Rain🌧⛈

So,I came across a poem this week.A japanese poem.Im not sure if you've ever read one,but throughout alot of japanese poems, not all of them rhyme.I liked this one so much,I just HAD to share it with you.Its called "Unbeaten by Rain" written by Kenji Miyazawa. Here it is:

"Unbeaten by rain.

Unbeaten by wind.

Unbowed by the snow and summer heat.

Strong in body.

Free from greed.

Without any anger.

Always serene.

With a handful of brown rice a day.

Miso and a small amount of vegetables suffice.

Whatever happens, consider yourself last, always put others first.

Understand from your observation and experience.

Never lose sight of these things.

In the shadows of the pine groves in the fields, live modestly under a thatched roof.

I'm the east,if there is a sick child,go there and take care of him.

In the west,if there is an exhausted mother,go there and relieve her of her burden.

In the south,if there is a man near death,go there and comfort him, tell him "Don't be afraid."

In the north,if there is an argument and a legal dispute,go there and persuade them it's not worth it.

In a drought,shed tears.

In a cold summer,carry on.

Ever with a sense of loss.

Being called a fool.

Being neither praised nor a burden.

Such a person I want to be."

The only thing with this,is I wish it would've been in a Christian perspective. There is alot to say on a few of these, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions of what you think about it and your thoughts on it!Let me know in the comments below⬇️
